ExploringChrist.com is committed to sharing the Gospel with
believers as well as giving reasons for the hope within us.
We believe that God is absolutely real. To see the billions of somethings around us, from the gigantic to the microscopic, all of which started from absolutely nothing, is to witness the first of many proofs of God’s existence.
We believe this God of creation is the only God. He is infinitely perfect, existing eternally in three persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit. We believe Jesus Christ to be the Son of God, a true extension of God Himself and in His incarnation to have been true man. He was born of the Virgin Mary, conceived by the Holy Spirit, died for our sins to reunite us with God and was raised from the dead for our justification. Currently seating at the right hand of God in majesty, He makes intercession as our High Priest. He will come again to establish His kingdom of righteousness and peace.
We believe the Old and New Testaments to be the infallible word of God, inerrant as originally given, verbally inspired by God and the complete and sufficient revelation of His will for man's salvation and conduct. We also agree with Saint Augustine who held that intimately knowing the Bible is not the desired end, but rather a means to the desired end…the end being an honest and fruitful relationship with God.
We believe man was created in the image of God. Through disobedience, self-centeredness, and self-created distortions of perception he incurred both physical and spiritual death. Thus, all now have a sinful nature, separated from God and can be saved only through the atoning work of our triune God.
We believe in the second coming of our Lord Jesus Christ as both personal and visible. This is our blessed hope and serves as an incentive for holy living and faithful service.
